Summer 2008

Whew...school was finally out, well at least for a little bit. Peter and I both did Summer Semester, I only did one class while Peter did a full load again. We were busy busy. We were able to take 2 trips though. For the 4th of July we went to Reno, Nevada to visit the Artinger, which is a family that Peter got to know really well in Wisconsin growing up. We were able to stay with them for a few days, go to the golf range, bowling, lates nights of great discussion and wonderful home-cooked meals. One day we were able to drive to Peter's mission (Sacramento, CA). I was able to finally meet the people that he talked about for 2 years. It was so awesome, but incredibly hot!

Our second trip was going to my family reunion that consisted of Mom, Dad, Catherine, me, Peter, Melissa, Ryan, Grandma Nebeker and Uncle Gary. We went to Palmyra, New York to go to the pageant, do some historical sight seeing and have some much needed family time. It was so great to see everyone and have fun. The pageant was awesome, a definate must see.

We then had the opportunity to drive into Canada and go to see the Niagra Falls. The falls were so beautiful and we got to see a movie in the IMAX there (thanks to Catherine and her connections), got up into the look our tower, and do the Maid of the Mist. Which were all incredible. We then stayed till it was dark so that we could see the fireworks that they display there every night in the summer. It was probably the most amazing firework show that I had every seen! It was so cool to hear the noise echo off the falls, combined with the water falling.
